Pauillac AOC Les Forts de Latour 2004
The "Les Forts de Latour" of the Chateau Latour winery is a red wine from the prestigious Bordeaux area of great body and taste capable of accompanying juicy dishes and game. The blend is made with carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, while the refinement proceeds for about 12 months in French oak barrels. The glass is dressed in a silky dark ruby-colored mantle and the nose inebriated by aromas of cherry, blackberry, black cherry, precious woods and hints of graphite. The sip is elegant, fine, full, enveloping, with ripe tannins and an unmissable finish
Pauillac AOC “Les Forts de Latour” Château Latour
The red wine "Les Forts de Latour" was vinified for the first time in 1966, and it is the second label of the Château Latour, but able to easily match the same power and complexity of its older brother, the "Grand Vin" precisely labeled “Château Latour”.
The " Les Forts de Latour" is an elegant and deep, broad and structured Pauillac, which requires to accompany equally substantial meat courses. Left to age in French oak barrels, it is a red that will not make you look bad on any occasion and for nothing in the world. It is a very respectable "Rouge".
TASTING NOTES red wine "Les Forts de Latour"
The red wine "Les Forts de Latour" when tasted has a deep and intense ruby red color that shows itself to the eye. Black and ripe fruits initially dictate the pace to the nose, supported by cherries, cassis, blackberries and raspberries, in the second instance flanked by camphor, humus, graphite, cedar wood and goudron. The palate is broad and energetic, concentrated and masterfully worked in the tannic texture, with a long persistence.
