Amaro Boonekamp Petrus 70cl
This Amaro distilled from rare vegetal substances coming from different continents and, from that moment, the fame of the amaro, which he had baptized with his name, quickly spread throughout the world. There are numerous herbs that enter the composition of Petrus and among all, galangal plays a fundamental role, a perennial herb originating from India and China, widely used in pharmacies as an aromatic eupeptic. On the label there is a warning that reads "those who don't serve it die", a memo aimed at bartenders all over the world! The ideal way to enjoy it is at room temperature and without ice, which would alter its color and flavor. Petrus Boonekamp, a great Dutch liqueur maker, produced this bitter for the first time in 1777.
Bitter Boonekamp Petrus
Amaro Boonekamp Petrus, when tasted, has an intense and bright mahogany color, presents multiple herbaceous and floral aromas on the nose, with hints attributable to dried rose, cherry in alcohol and cocoa bean. The taste is decidedly bitter, balanced and soft, in a context of great structure and balance which makes it pleasantly persistent. It closes with bitter notes of gentian and rhubarb, with a light hint of ginger.
