Unicum amaro is a Hungarian amaro produced by Zwack since 1790. The best herbal liqueur since then and today.

 

Amaro Unicum Zwack

Amaro Unicum has been produced for more than 200 years with the same recipe that makes it unique. Its herbs (more than 40) and spices come from 5 continents. Half of the herbs are macerated and half distilled and then assembled in a single wooden barrel. Aging then takes place in French oak barrels.

The variety of herbs and spices inebriate the whole mouth so much so that it becomes really difficult to differentiate one from the other and perhaps, in this case, one should just enjoy it.

Pairings

Zwack's Unico amaro is best enjoyed on its own. Without accompaniments of any kind. The only exception that can be made is for a few ice cubes.
