Toscana Rosso Cesare La Taragna 2015 75cl
The red "Cesare" is a tribute to the grandfather of the Romiti family, owners of the La Taragna winery, born from Sangiovese, Merlot and other red grapes, grown on medium-textured soils with tufaceous, clayey and, in part, stony layers. The setting is Cetona, a small municipality in the province of Siena and, in particular, the hamlet of Piazze. The grapes are harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October and the vinification takes place in steel, with maceration in contact with the skins to at least 18 days. Refinement and maturation take place in French wooden barriques, for a red with great structure and very rosy prospects, easily beyond a decade.
Toscana Rosso IGT "Cesare" La Taragna
Toscana Rosso "Cesare" La Taragna, when tasted, has an intense ruby red color with vivid purple reflections, shows a clear aroma of blackberries and blueberries, then cherry jam and cocoa beans, with subtle mentholated nuances. Full-bodied tasting, it puts the emphasis on the tannin which is well present but valuable and which helps to understand the full potential of the mass. The persistence of vanilla pod is very pleasant.
COMBINATIONS
Green light for important first courses seasoned with game sauces and ragù, with game in general, roast meats, mature cheeses, roast beef and, for those who want to finish on a high note, with flakes of dark chocolate.
