The legendary "Fontalloro" was produced for the first time in 1983, this wine represents the maximum expression of the Sangiovese di Castelnuovo Berardenga. Left to mature for almost two years in small oak barrels and at least another year in bottle, Fèlsina's Toscana Sangiovese IGT "Fontalloro" is a wine of rare elegance, long and relaxed, capable of a truly extraordinary longevity but at the same time already today capable of expressing itself with a unique balance.
TASTING NOTES
When tasted, the red wine Toscana IGT "Fontalloro" shows an intense ruby red color, the nose expresses aromatic notes of great complexity ranging from tobacco to wet earth, from black currant to blackberry and licorice. In the mouth it is sumptuous, fresh, characterized by an impeccable tannic texture for stature and finesse. Consistent, elegant, full, it closes with an unforgettable finish in terms of length and taste.
