Il Morellino di Scansano "Ghiaccioforte" di Castello Romitorio is born in vineyards located in the heart of the municipality of Scansano. The vineyards from which this wine is obtained lie a few hundred meters away from the ancient ruins of the Etruscan settlement Ghiaccio Forte, so named after the brave Etruscan warrior who was able to resist the imperial expansion of Rome.

 

Morellino di Scansano "Ghiaccioforte" Castello Romitorio 

At the tasting, the red wine Morellino di Scansano Ghiaccioforte of Castello Romitorio shows a bright ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of iris and rose, enriched by pleasant notes of fern. On the palate it is elegant, pleasantly full-bodied and well structured, with ripe tannins.
