The Vin Santo del Chianti DOC Serelle di Ruffino at the tasting shows the bouquet is extremely fascinating in its complexity and elegance. The impact on the nose has intense notes of candied fruit and eucalyptus honey enhanced by fresh citrus hints and intriguing hints of walnut and hazelnut. On the palate Serelle is characterized by intense notes of dried fruit, from apricot to pineapple, from fig to date. The long aging process gives pleasant hints of walnut and hazelnut. The intense sweetness is excellently balanced by a pleasant gustatory fragrance. The persistent finish reveals notes of orange peel and crème brulé.
