Santenay Rouge Cuvée S David Moreau 75 cl
"S" is for Simone, David Moreau's grandmother, who purchased the domaine's first parcel, known as Les Cornières (from the French for "cornel," a typical local shrub). This vineyard is located in the heart of the village of Santenay, on extremely thin soil, so much so that the bedrock appears to be exposed. Here, the Pinot Noir grapes are hand-selected, using only loose bunches, to capture the very essence of the fruit.
Santenay Rouge Cuvée "S" David Moreau
Santenay Rouge Cuvée "S" David Moreau presents a clear ruby red color. The nose unfolds an aromatic sequence of jammy berries, cloves, and sandalwood, against a background of moss and a bouquet of aromatic herbs. The palate reveals an athletic, satisfying structure, with smooth tannins in an extremely meaty context. The finish is long and persistent, with blackberries and blueberries resurfacing.

Perfect with game, it is worth trying with a wild boar stew but also with a mixed grill.
