Rum 21 Years Special Reserve El Dorado 70cl Cased
Along the banks of the Demerara River in Guyana lies the world's oldest sugarcane plantation, planted by Christopher Columbus. It is here that Demerara Distillers has been producing one of the world's most renowned nectars since 1670. The molasses is local, and the yeasts are cultivated directly in the distillery, which boasts 12 continuous and pot stills (a world record). As if that weren't enough, the world's only working wooden continuous distillation column is still in operation, along with the two oldest continuous stills. This rum is aged strictly in ex-bourbon casks for at least 21 years, resulting in incredible roundness and finesse; an unmissable rum among traditional brown spirits.
Rum 21 Years Special Reserve El Dorado
The El Dorado 21-Year-Old Special Reserve Rum displays a brilliant bronze color with coppery and golden highlights. The nose is characterized by countless sweet aromas of chestnut honey, vanilla pod, and cane sugar, followed by dried tropical fruit and dark spices that blend with the woody notes. The palate is rich, dense, and smooth, perfectly consistent with the nose, with multiple fruit and spice notes, and a balanced yet distinctly warm sensation on a cocoa and mocha finish.
