Trentino DOC Merlot LeBoem 2024 75cl

Merlot is one of the most well-known and appreciated grape varieties in the world. Its grapes produce wines with a soft, velvety organoleptic profile, popular with a global audience, as it is grown on all five continents. Merlot grapes contribute to blends, adding roundness and drinkability to overly sharp wines, but they can also be vinified as a single-varietal wine, like this fine example from Boem, made from hillside vineyards rich in alluvial deposits. The grapes are hand-harvested in the first week of October and vinified in glass-lined concrete vats, where they remain on their lees for six months.
