Tenuta San Guido's Sassicaia is an important and legendary wine, a Bordeaux blend from Bolgheri aged for 24 months in barrique. Intense and complex, rich in herbaceous and mineral aromas, wild fruit, graphite, and Mediterranean scrub, and endowed with a smooth and robust character, it embodies the essence of Super Tuscans.

Cabernet Sauvignon with a small balance of Cabernet Franc for one of the world's greatest Bordeaux blends, perhaps the first to truly challenge French supremacy in the field. However, reducing Sassicaia to just this is a real shame; it is, in fact, a proudly Italian wine, totally rooted in its terroir. Tuscany is not an opinion, but a precise identity that emerges in the glass with every sip, from harvest to harvest.

TASTING NOTES Sassicaia magnum

Sassicaia, upon tasting, presents a deep garnet red color. The nose expresses elegant and delicate aromas of wild berries, Mediterranean scrub, and almond. The palate is elegant and silky, with velvety tannins and well-integrated components. The palate is energetic, well-controlled, and complex, as only great wines can deliver, even in lesser vintages.
