The Friulano DOC "Vigneto Storico" from Gigante Adriano is an intense and complex white wine with notes of citrus, wildflowers, and salty aromas. Harvested with grape selection, the pressed grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 18°C for 20 days and the must matures in stainless steel. After this period, the wine is bottled, followed by a further period of bottle aging.

 

Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Friulano Gigante

Gigante's Friulano wine displays a straw-yellow color when tasted. The aromas are intense, with floral notes of wildflowers intertwined with light mineral traces. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a good savory finish and a classic almond aftertaste. It also has a good length. This Friulano expresses its best qualities within two years of bottling but can be kept well over time (up to 10 years).

COMBINATIONS

The Orecchiette with asparagus and pork cracklings are surprising: a harmony of vegetal sensations and rustic pork succulence.
