One word to describe this release: adventurous! This is a unique Talisker release, aged in ex-bourbon casks and refined in oak barrels previously containing a Caribbean pot still rum. This unique transition successfully combines the aromas of the sea and pepper, typical of the famous distillery on the Isle of Skye, with the dark, exotic sweetness of warmer climates. Thus is born one of the most unique single malts on the market, simply delicious!

 

Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 8 Years Talisker Special Release 2025

Talisker 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Special Release 2025 displays a golden yellow color verging on amber. It immediately reveals maritime notes of iodine and salt, followed by molasses and brown sugar that contrast with dried seaweed. Adding a little water reveals dried yellow fruit with a hint of vanilla. The initial smooth entry gradually intensifies, becoming so dry it almost seems astringent. The long, smoky, and spicy finish creates a simply unique flavor.
