Talisker Port Ruighe is a whisky matured in American and European oak casks and finished in barrels that previously held Port wine; a tribute to the great Scottish merchants whose role was crucial to the growth and global spread of the famous Spanish fortified wine. With its unique character, this Talisker blends the brand's signature powerful smokiness with the rich, sweet nuances of red fruit, for a masterfully balanced taste experience.

 

Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Port Ruighe Talisker

Talisker Port Ruighe displays a deep, brilliant amber yellow color. The nose offers a smoky profile of wood and charcoal, then turns to malt, honey, and caramel, followed by blackcurrants, raisins, and candied cherries. Adding a little water reveals the unmistakable salty marine notes. The powerful, almost viscous palate is a riot of sweet and spicy spices, enveloping the entire palate with fruity aftertaste of black cherry, before finishing intensely and captivatingly with notes of cocoa, plums, and a hint of chili pepper.
