Rum Bumbu XO 70cl
The word Bumbu derives from the Indonesian term for 'mixture of spices' and is precisely the name used by the people of Barbados to describe this rum, with a smoother and more generous flavor than the traditional distillate. XO is distilled and aged at the Panama distillery, founded in 1890 and still using a still dating back to 1912! Made using the finest sugarcane from local growers, carefully selected by Bumbu's Master Distiller, XO Rum ages for up to 15 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, and then finished in Andalusian white oak barrels formerly used for sherry.
Rum Bumbu XO
Rum Bumbu XO, when tasted, presents a very intense, dark amber color. The nose envelops with aromas of caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla, then gives way to orange zest and peppery, piquant spices, with a subtle hint of coffee beans. The palate is warm, enveloping, and rounded, with balanced alcohol content, delicious but never cloying. The finish is long, with a focus on spices and mocha.
