Amaro Rupes 70cl
Rupes is an Amaro whose name appears to date back to the place where it was distilled in the early 19th century, at the foot of the Rocella Rock. As many as 30 herbs are used in its preparation, all processed following a precise artisanal protocol that involves cold maceration in the purest alcohol to extract all the botanical components. Among these, bay leaves, Calabrian licorice, and wild fennel stand out, creating a deep, balsamic profile that's simply perfect as a digestif!
Amaro Rupes Digestive
Amaro Rupes, when tasted, presents a dark amber color with brick highlights, bright and viscous as it dances in the glass. On the nose, it offers dark notes of undergrowth, medicinal herbs, and cinchona, followed by licorice stick, tamarind, and dark spices. Intoxicating on the nose, it doesn't disappoint on the palate, which is warm, smooth, rich, and delicious, with a full flavor and a bitterish verve, unmistakably reminiscent of roasting and toasting.
How to taste it
Served in a low tumbler for a relaxing after-dinner drink, it's perfect for drowning a cup of coffee and cream ice cream, but also in mixology, to create a Rupes Tonic, a Rupes Spritz, or a Rupes Americano.
