Barolo DOP Conteisa Gaja 75 cl
This great Barolo originates from the area between the municipalities of Barolo and La Morra, dominated by the Cerequio zone, as documented in the La Morra municipal archives. Almost all the vineyards on the La Morra estate, purchased by Gaja in 1995, are located in the famous Cerequio cru (a term that refers to a single vineyard with its own distinctive characteristics), among the finest in the entire area thanks to the favorable southern exposure of the vines.
Barolo DOP "Conteisa" Gaja
Gaja's Barolo DOP "Conteisa" displays a dark garnet red color and a decidedly intense nose, underscored by fruity, spicy notes and clear underbrush notes, including blueberry, cocoa, incense, and licorice. On the palate, it is vigorous and structured, with lively tannins yet perfectly balanced.
COMBINATIONS
With sliced Piedmontese Fassona beef, roast goat, first courses with meat ragù, or even a platter of cured meats and mature cheeses.
