Verdicchio, a great white wine exclusively from the Jesi area, finds its pinnacle in Salmariano, a Riserva aged 80% in stainless steel, on the lees, and the remaining 20% in barrique. The aging process lasts a full 12 months, after which the rules of a supposedly "simple" wine are completely overturned: here we have a great Verdicchio, rich and powerful, demanding the right pairing, even at the table.

Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi Classico Riserva DOCG "Salmariano" Marotti Campi presents a luminous golden yellow color with emerald highlights. The nose is a concentrated triumph of medlar, peach, and almond blossom, followed by elderberry, thyme, and bay leaves, with a sweet balance reminiscent of vanilla and prominent marine and iodine notes. The palate is enchantingly full and smooth, rounded yet balanced thanks to an explosive freshness that paves the way for an engaging flavor. The finish is long and pleasantly almondy.

COMBINATIONS

With a fish soup, the classic Ancona-style brodetto, but also smoked fish, you can also try a pork loin with dried fruit.
