Chardonnay Arthur Domaine Drouhin Oregon 2021 75cl
Arthur Chardonnay is made from 100% Burgundy clones grown on the Drouhin estate in the Dundee Hills, Oregon. Planted in 1990, these vines' low yields and early ripening ability were a perfect match for the winery's terroir. Arthur, named for Véronique Drouhin's son, is a wine that demonstrates remarkable excellence, capturing a brilliant freshness and minerality in the glass, defined by the winery itself as the closest thing to a fusion of the two quintessential Chardonnay terroirs in the world: Chablis and Meursault.
Chardonnay Arthur Domaine Drouhin Oregon
Chardonnay Arthur Domaine Drouhin Oregon, when tasted, displays an intense straw yellow color with bright golden highlights. The nose offers notes of candied lemon peel and white flowers, with underlying hints of acacia honey and vanilla. On the palate, it has a smooth, enveloping body, with a good alcohol content and a great balance between freshness and savory flavors. A rather long citrus finish suggests a reasonable longevity.
