The Amaro Mandragola formula was passed on to Riserva Carlo Alberto by a gentleman from Valchiusella, then a pharmacist, in 1978. The top-secret formula contains 15 herbs, but only eight of them are known because, if they were all revealed, the infusion's power would be lost! Between mysteries and magic potions, legends and reality, one thing is certain: this amaro must be tasted!

 

Bitter Mandrake

Amaro Mandragola, when tasted, presents a bright and luminous mahogany color, captivating the nose with rich, intense vegetal notes reminiscent of aromatic herbs, roots, and damp earth, moss, and undergrowth. The palate is powerful, full-bodied, bitter, and very consistent with earthy notes, for a unique, unforgettable, and rustic flavor.
