Etna DOC Brut Gaudensius Blanc De Noir Firriato 75 cl
This great sparkling wine, with the Etna perlage typical of Firriato, is complex yet rare in its elegance. It's Firriato's first Metodo Classico. A perfect blend of Nerello Mascalese and the Etna region, Gaudensius Blanc De Noir is a truly evocative Metodo Classico, an absolute example of style and elegance. The grapes are hand-harvested in the second week of September and immediately brought to the cellar where, after gentle pressing of the whole, undestemmed bunches, the vinification begins, off the skins. Secondary fermentation in the bottle, in contact with the lees, continues for over 36 months, with frequent manual remuage.

It has an intense, fruity nose of ripe Sicilian citrus, brioche and peanut butter, star anise, and marzipan, complemented by rich mineral notes. The complex, full-bodied palate boasts excellent structure, blending delicate, fragrant notes with a lively sea breeze, complementing a flavorful finish of almond and blackcurrant.
