This 12-Year-Old "Jamaica Rum" is crafted by the Appleton Estate distillery using rigorously certified ingredients. It begins with a selection of the finest sugarcane, to which natural yeasts and crystal-clear water from the limestone hills of Cockpit Country are added. Once the sugarcane is molasses, it is processed using pot stills. The resulting rum is then blended with other premium rums from the Appleton Estate range, and the final blend is aged for 12 years in oak barrels.
The 12-Year-Old "Jamaica Rum" is a rum that, upon examination, reveals a very luminous, iridescent color, somewhere between bronze and gold. The complex aromas that surround the nose reveal deep and layered notes, ranging from ripe fruit to citrus zest, even touching nuances of coffee. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad, and enveloping, thanks to a well-balanced sweetness.
