Meursault is undoubtedly one of the oldest villages in Burgundy and is located in the Beaune district, a unique location due to the composition of its subsoil, almost white and very rocky, especially in the highest part of the appellation. This uniqueness creates ideal conditions for growing Chardonnay, a grape that requires mineral soil and significant temperature variations to fully express all its organoleptic characteristics and produce a wine that is immediately enjoyable yet capable of defying the passage of time.

 

Meursault AOC Joseph Drouhin

The Meursault AOC Joseph Drouhin displays a bright, intense golden yellow color. The nose offers complex notes of butter, wildflower honey, and medlar, with floral hints of chamomile and lime blossom. The palate is enveloping, rounded, and rich, perfectly aligned with the nose and punctuated by a savory backbone that adds vigor and power. The ginger finish is very long.

COMBINATIONS

With important dishes such as stuffed guinea fowl, it also pairs well with scallops au gratin or with a white lasagna.
