To date, Matusalem Rums boast numerous international awards and accolades and continue to churn out marvels like this latest release, the Gran Reserva 23 Year Old. Made from sugarcane molasses and aged for 23 years using the Solera method, it's a long-awaited blend on the market and has finally arrived.

 

Rum Matusalem Gran Reserva 23 years

Matusalem Gran Reserva 23-year-old rum displays a bright amber color with light golden hues. The nose is immediately striking with hints of wood, followed by ripe fruit and the unmistakable toffee. The palate focuses on hazelnut and toasted notes, then evolves into caramel notes, never cloying but always balanced by freshness. The finish is sharp and aromatic, decidedly sweet.

How to taste it

Incredibly easy to drink for a 23-year-old, it's enjoyable on its own or paired with chocolate or a cigar.
