Moët & Chandon Demi-Sec 'Nectar Imperial' Champagne (Box)
Moët & Chandon's Nectar Imperial is a Demi-Sec Champagne, among the most elegant and enjoyable of this type, whose origins are very ancient and now on the verge of extinction. It represents a true return to the origins of Champagne, when the most popular and widespread expressions were sweet or semi-sweet like this one. Moët & Chandon, faithful to its history and glorious tradition, is one of the few remaining to produce this Demi-Sec and, due to its creaminess and elegant sweetness, has rightly called it the "imperial nectar."
The Champagne "Nectar Imperial" is made primarily from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, with a small percentage of Chardonnay. The cuvée, created by renowned cellar master Benoit Gouez, is composed of at least 20% reserve wines. The significant sugar content of 45 g/l makes it sweet, immediate, and very pleasant, making it a perfect match not only with creamy desserts, fruit, or pastries, but also with Asian cuisine, spicy ethnic dishes, sweet and sour fish or meat dishes, foie gras, or even blue cheeses like Gorgonzola or Roquefort.
