Verdicchio, a great white exclusive to the Jesi area which finds its peak in Salmariano, a Reserve which ages 80% in steel, in contact with the lees and the remaining 20% in barrique. The refinement lasts 12 months, at the end of which the rules of a wine that is thought of as 'simple' are completely subverted: here we are faced with a great Verdicchio, rich and powerful which demands, even at the table, the right pairing.
Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi Classico Riserva DOCG "Salmariano" Marotti Campi, when tasted has a bright golden yellow color with emerald reflections, the nose is a concentrated riot of medlar, peach and almond flowers, then elderberry, thyme and laurel, a sweet spacing reminiscent of vanilla and important marine and iodized puffs. Enchanting tasting for fullness and softness, it is round but balanced thanks to an explosive freshness that leads the way to an engaging flavor. Long finish, pleasantly almondy.
With a fish soup, the classic Ancona-style broth but also smoked fish, you can even try a pork loin with dried fruit.
