The Chardonnay "Chiarandà" is an enveloping and elegant white wine, of extraordinary depth and aromatic richness: a jewel of the famous Sicilian cellar Donnafugata. It has been produced with increasing success since 1992 and its name derives from the Chiarandà del Merlo vineyard, on the Contessa Entellina estate.
The Chardonnay "Chiarandà", at the tasting shows a bright golden yellow color. The broad and complex bouquet, with hints of yellow and tropical fruit and nuances of wisteria and vanilla. Soft and enveloping in the mouth, with fresh savory and mineral notes, long and round.
Throughout the meal, the "Chiarandà" is a white wine that goes well with typical dishes of Sicilian cuisine such as pasta alla Norma, mushroom flans, tasty and elaborate white meats.
