The Sauvignon from the Abbazia di Novacella winery in South Tyrol is a particularly popular wine. It is a wine of medium intensity and structure that is characterized by a large and varied bouquet where notes of ripe fruit alternate with elderflower, basil and typically herbaceous hints such as tomato leaf. The sip is savory and with a nice freshness, with a very persistent finish.

 

Subtirol Sauvignon DOC Abbazia di Novacella

The Sauvignon di Abbazia di Navicella wine on tasting shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, the nose is reminiscent of elderflower, black currant and pepper. On the palate it is fine, elegant, fresh, moderately aromatic and with a persistent aftertaste.

Also as an aperitif, it goes well with medium-aged cheeses, risottos, vegetable soups.
