The true Marsala Superiore best known in the world, born in the centuries-old cellars and only from Grillo and Catarratto grapes coming from the vineyards owned and cultivated in the Marsala DOC area. Fortified wine with a light sugar content. The exceptional microclimate of the area, the cool and humid cellars where the product matures and refines for 30 months in oak barrels, and the skilful art of winemaking that the company has handed down since 1833, give this versatile wine a unique and a well-defined identity that makes it inimitable.

 

Sicily Marsala DOC "Vecchio Florio" Florio

"Vecchio Florio" by Florio is a Marsala Superiore fortified wine born in the centuries-old cellars and only from Grillo and Catarratto grapes coming from the owned vineyards and cultivated in the DOC Marsala area.
When tasted it shows an amber yellow color with golden reflections of great brightness. The scent is distinctive and fine, with hints of raisins, broom, and officinal herbs, to then turn towards tertiary notes of melted butter and sweet spicy vanilla in a great balance that is also confirmed on the palate, warm, decisive and enveloping , consistent in the aromas and in the many returns of dried fruit that accompany a long savory trail.

Excellent dessert wine, it goes well with dry pastries, crunchy almonds or aged cheeses.
