Brunello Di Montalcino Ripe at the Convent Riserva 2016
Great Brunello di Montalcino, with an elegant fabric and admirable longevity. Born in the Ripe al Convento vineyard of the same name, at an altitude between 350 and 450 m, the result of a scrupulous selection that begins in the vineyard and continues in the cellar with the manual selection of each grain. A Brunello Riserva with a strong personality and extraordinary longevity, whose maturation takes place partly in Slavonian oak barrels and partly in French oak barrels and which in the glass amazes not only for its elegance but also for its strength and persistence.
Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG "Ripe al Convento" Marchesi De 'Frescobaldi reserve
Brunello Di Montalcino "Ripe al Convento" reserves to the eye and is intense ruby red with vivid garnet reflections on the nail. It is clear, bright and with a beautiful texture. The nose is intense and complex, with hints ranging from small red and black berry fruits such as plum, currant and blackberry, to floral notes of violet and dog rose to spices and vanilla. In the finish also emerge toasted notes of coffee, cocoa and tobacco. In the mouth it is warm, soft and balanced with good acidity and fine and enveloping tannins. The finish is long and persistent with slight fruity hints in the aftertaste.
For the whole meal, it goes well with stews, long-cooked meat dishes and aged cheeses.
