The excellent structure envelops soft and ripe tannins in perfect balance with a pleasant acidity. Poggio al Vento Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Docg is obtained from particular clones of Sangiovese, locally called Brunello, deriving from a Col d'Orcia massal selection. The dominant and elegant tannins present in the wine require a long and traditional aging in large oak barrels. After bottling, the wine needs another 3 years of refinement in the bottle before being presented on the market.
