Among the oldest native red grape varieties in the Campania area, Piedirosso stands out for its fruity aromatic profile, a sweet and smooth tannin and a delicious drinkability, totally departing from the vision of Campania reds, such as Aglianico, which they always lead back to power and structure. Don't be fooled though: the version proposed by Cantine Olivella is a Piedirosso rich in character, typical and clean which, thanks to processing exclusively in steel, brings to light all the characteristics of the reference grape variety.

Vesuvio DOP Piedirosso "Vipt" Cantine Olivella organic, when tasted it presents a bright ruby red color, with clear purple nuances, on the nose it inebriates us with vivid sensations of sour cherries and ripe cherries, then geranium and fern, a touch of undergrowth and pepper pink, with fresh balsamic and mineral nuances to finish. Very pleasant tasting, well balanced between freshness and flavor and with young and vigorous tannins, it smiles with long fruity returns which also characterize its long persistence.

COMBINATIONS

Perfect with meat cannelloni but also with a classic roast chicken with potatoes.
