Gattinara DOCG Vigna Valferana Nervi Giacomo Conterno 2019 75 cl
Born from pure Nebbiolo grapes from the famous Cru Vigna Valferana, this Gattinara is among the cornerstones of the denomination, an austere and profound wine which, in this Alpine terroir, manages to give a truly exemplary expression. The Valferana vineyards are over 30 years old and, with their altitude of 320 meters above sea level, they are now tested for the production of an example like this. If you add the soil rich in iron and manganese and the hand of Conterno, the style takes shape through a clear, deep and powerful tasting. 48 months in oak barrels, 6 months in concrete and another 6 in the bottle, contribute to refining a tasting that is among the best on the scene.
Gattinara DOCG Vigna Valferana Nervi Giacomo Conterno
Gattinara DOCG Vigna Valferana Nervi Giacomo Conterno, when tasted, presents a dark ruby red color, tending towards garnet, shows a nose articulated on mineral and fruity notes, then iron, red orange and graphite, red berries and juniper, all seasoned with hints of alpine herbs and cardamom. A tasting that requires all possible attention from the taster, it is austere and rigorous, savory, balanced in freshness and very persistent in its insistent minerality. An exemplary Gattinara, perfectly consistent with its territory.
COMBINATIONS
With agnolotti with ragù but also a fillet with green pepper, it does not draw mature and very tasty cheeses.
