Pommard 1er Cru "Pommard-Epenots" Louis Latour
The village of Pommard is conveniently located between the town of Beaune and the village of Volnay. Unlike the wines of the neighboring villages, those of Pommard tend to be fuller, more tannic and expansive in the mouth, more similar to those of the Côte de Nuits so to speak. This area was called "Epenots", coming from "épine" (thorn), due to the natural vegetation of the area which was full of brambles.
TASTING NOTES
