Allegrini's Veronese IGT “La Grola” is a blend of three great personalities: the Grola hill, the native vines of Valpolicella and the syrah. The excellent exposure of the vineyards that enjoy good sunshine and the cool breeze coming from the nearby Lake Garda allows the grapes to express the best: fruit and acid nerve for the corvina, spices and softness for the syrah. A skilful aging in barrique for 16 months leads to a red of great elegance and harmony, refined and capable of evolving positively for over a decade.
The Veronese IGT "La Grola" by Allegrini, when tasted, shows a dark ruby red color, the nose expresses rich and fruity notes, embellished with spicy tones of vanilla, black pepper and licorice. On the palate it is rich, impressive, balanced and at the same time relaxed. A certain freshness in fact outlines the trait up to a closure of impeccable persistence.
Throughout the meal, it is recommended to accompany red meat dishes, both roasted and with brown sauces, especially lamb and kid. It is also delicious with stewed or grilled mushrooms and with non-spicy aged cheeses.
