Valtellina Superiore Mazèr (which in dialect means good, beautiful and generous) is produced with a selection of the best grapes coming from different sub-areas, a part of which is harvested late, then subjected to drying and then left to mature for around 14 months in barrique first and second pass. A wine that combines structure and simplicity of approach, refinement and captivating versatility.

 

Valtellina Superiore DOCG Mazer Nino Negri 

At tasting the Valtellina Superiore Mazer Nino Negri bone wine shows a garnet red color. The nose opens on notes of red fruit, hints of sweet spices, nuances of rhubarb, cinchona and memories of noble woods. The sip is smooth and decisive, with a delicate fruit, a dense and evolved tannic texture. The finish is balanced, with a beautifully fresh finish.
The Valtellina Superiore “Mazer” wine, produced by Nino Negri, is a Nebbiolo with a strong personality, which thanks to the slight drying, acquires a greater structure and gustatory softness.
