Franciacorta Saten, is a Classic Method sparkling wine that must be produced with Chardonnay grapes only and which, after refermentation, has a lower content of carbon dioxide. It all begins with a normal vinification, which takes place in stainless steel tanks and allows to obtain a Chardonnay white wine in purity. It is bottled and added with sugar and yeast. The bottle is capped so that the second fermentation can begin. Once the yeasts transform all the sugar present into alcohol and carbon dioxide, the fermentation stops and the rest on the yeasts begins for at least 24 months. This is the time when the wine is enriched with the typical fragrant scents and complexity that characterize the type. The months of maturation on the lees are followed by another 2 months of aging in the bottle after disgorgement.
Franciacorta Saten “Berlucchi 61” is the purity of Chardonnay, told in its most delicate and fine version. The perlage is soft, creamy and persistent, as befits the type. The nose has a rich and elegant scent, which flows on notes of ripe and tropical yellow fruit, at times almost candied.
