Brunello di Montalcino Argiano è miglior vino nel mondo. Wine Spectator

Brunello di Montalcino Argiano from the 2018 vintage is the best wine in the world 2023 according to the Wine Spectator ranking, which counts as the "bible of world wine".

The Top ten ranking was revealed in the late afternoon of November 10, 2023. Italy was already well represented in the ranking with number 5 occupied by Mastroberardino's Taurasi "Radici" and Antinori's Chianti Classico Marchese Antinori at number 7.

The Tuscany Region was already on the podium in 2006 with the Brunello Casanova Neri of the 2001 vintage and therefore this is a return to the podium. Last year (2022) the Brunello di Montalcino from Fattoria dei Barbi was also placed in second place, and in 2020 the Brunello di San Filippo which occupied the lowest step of the podium.

With the 2023 ranking, Brunello therefore returns to the very limited list of Italian world record-holding wines. An exclusive club that sees all great Tuscan wines: Sassicaia 2015 which was number 1 in 2018, Ornellaia 1998 in 2001 and Solaia 1997 in 2000 in addition to the two aforementioned Brunellos, the Casanova di Neri in 2001 and Argiano today.

Brunello di Montalcino Argiano 2018 is the best wine in the world! Wine Spectator. First place in the Top Ten!
